CTESI visiting groups and Cardiff school of engineering members at Cardiff university

In September 2018, following a serious of visits to different UK insitutions, a seminar on signing a cooperation agreement between the Cardiff University and the China Communications construction (CTESI) was established.

Several collaboration visits are done. including the visiting to BSI, BRE and buildingSmart and other UK BIM industries.

Cardiff University representatives introduced the Civil Engineering Self-Healing Concrete Project Center, BIM Research Center, Geotechnical Research Institute, Water Purification and Protection Research Center, etc.

Both parties exchanged views on potential cooperation area such as big data, artificial intelligence, the establishment of infrastructure sensor networks, and numerical simulation of advanced intelligent materials. At the same time, both parties exchanged views on intelligent / smart infrastructure, building construction renovation and finally integrated ideas for further cooperation.
