The Collaboration conference in Cardiff university 

The CCCC company and Cardiff University signed a memorandum of cooperation in Cardiff University in Novermber, 2017. Both parties established the agreement on building up a joint research and development center, an international consortium of industry-university-research institutes, jointly cultivated research talents, short-term academic visits, carried out international scientific and technological exchanges, and promoted to achieve a global smart construction strategy. 

The signing of the cooperation memorandum of understanding marked the official launch of CCCC International Science and Technology Cooperation with Cardiff University.

On the second day after the signing of the agreement, CCCC, DUT and Cardiff University also jointly held an international seminar on “One Belt, One Road, Cooperation and Win-win”. Representatives from Arup Engineering Consulting, Mott Macdonald, Atkins, Dutch Engineering and Project Management Consulting, British Institution of Civil Engineers (Wales Branch), Welsh Planning Department, and other UK partners attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Present of CCCC, Ziyu Sun introduced China Overseas Construction's operations and its important role in the infrastructure construction of countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” schema. All participants discussed how to take the “Belt and Road” initiative as a link, use CCCC's experience in international engineering construction, explore cooperation opportunities and develop markets, and discuss issues such as standards, investment, scientific research, and training in the UK and EU.
